Basic Fire training enables individuals to manage fire emergencies. (Teach your staff the basics of fire safety management / using extinguishers, being proactive in an emergency.)

We offer the following training:

•Basic Fire Orientation. Full day course (on site)
– R750 per person , minimum 5 people
•Fire equipment Orientation half day course (on site)
R350 pp (inc Vat)
Minimum 10

Summary:
The course objective is to educate all participants on the basic principles of fire and fire extinguishment. Upon completion the participant will be able to identify the types of fires, select the correct extinguishment medium and contain or suppress all incipient fires within their environment. And manage a fire emergency situation.

• Kitchen staff
• School teachers
• Maintenance / ground staff
• Domestic workers
• Construction contractors
• Occupational health and safety representatives

Training Content:
• Chemistry of fire including fire classification
• Fire behaviour.
• Fire classification and extinguishment

Practical component:
a. The use of all types of available fire equipment

Requirements:
• Training room
• Safe parking
• Participation and commitment of all attendees
• Participants to wear casual clothes

Basic Fire Orientation

Minimum 10/ Max 16 per group
R750 pp inc Vat. (Groups over 16 will receive a 10% discount).

Training Content:
• Chemistry of fire including fire classification
• Fire behaviour.
• Fire classification and extinguishment
• Fire detection, alarm and suppression equipment, management systems
• Emergency signs with particular focus on fire symbolic signs.
• Walk through building highlighting all fire equipment
Fire prevention Introduction

    1. Hot work and permits
    2. Flammable liquids and gases
    3. Electricity and fire

Practical component:
• The use of all types of available fire equipment
• Approach of hot and cold doors
• Moving through fire and smoke
• The correct method of checking the fire extinguishers
• Workshop including a fire risk assessment by the course participants for presentation at the following OHS meeting

Requirements:
• Training room
• Data projector/power source
• Safe parking
• Participation and commitment of all attendees
• Participants to wear casual clothes

First aid Training:
• Facilitation of Level 1 First Aid @ R880 pp (inc Vat)
• Duration 2 days on site
• Minimum 10 pax Max 12
